The Little Knight Fund
Includ(Ed) founder, Anna Chiles, and her husband, Wilson Taylor, met at The Altamont School in Birmingham, Alabama. Fast forward to 2020, these high school sweethearts became parents to Theo, who was diagnosed at birth with Down syndrome. When Anna and Wilson set out to find a preschool for Theo, they were shocked by how readily so many schools rejected Theo, all because of his disability.
Across San Diego county, babies and toddlers with disabilities are regularly excluded from childcare and early education, leaving children less prepared to start kindergarten and forcing many parents to leave the workforce to become their primary caregivers.
Includ(Ed) is on a mission to create San Diego’s first fully inclusive preschool, where children with disabilities can learn alongside their typically developing peers.
A group of Anna & Wilson’s friends got together to form The Little Knight Fund, a gesture of support for the program as well as an homage to their high school days. Give today to support quality education for ALL children regardless of disability status.
